1) 1 <br /> S <br /> TASK 6 REVEGETATION <br /> Along with the revegetation specifications outlined in Section 20.0 of the "Standard Work <br /> Specifications" included in CDMG General Bid Specifications, 1993, the following <br /> requirements will be adhered to: <br /> • The awarded CONTRACTOR will notify the PROJECT MANAGER 2 (two) <br /> weeks in advance of his notice to proceed with the revegetation phase of the <br /> project. <br /> • Prior to fertilizing, 1 (one) ton of native grass hay per acre will be <br /> incorporated into the surface with a disk or other suitable method to anchor <br /> the mulch for seedbed preparation. <br /> • After the soil has been amended with the 1 ton/acre hay, contour furrows will <br /> be installed 18" d X 18" w on 25' centers blending into the constructed <br /> drainage channels. <br /> • All seed drilling and crimping operations will be operated on contour. one <br /> OWNER will supply all the seed for the reseeding. <br /> The CONTRACTOR will supply the fertilizer(manure or commercial), mulch, equipment <br /> for chiseling, fertilizer application, seeding, mulching, and crimping. Earthmoving <br /> activities related to the waste removal area, slope reductions, wetland construction, and <br /> incidental areas for staging or otherwise compacted are estimated to disturb <br /> approximately 17 acres which will require revegetation. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> There will be no measurement for payment. Payment for this task will be reflected in a <br /> lump sum bid under Item 6 on the Bid Schedule. This lump sum bid will cover payment <br /> of all costs for chiseling, fertilizing (including supplying fertilizer), seeding, mulching <br /> (including supplying mulch), and mulch crimping. These revegetation procedures will be <br /> performed on all regraded, backfilled and other delineated areas previously regraded <br /> requiring revegetation. Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by the <br /> PROJECT MANAGER. Payment for this task shall be made only for that amount <br /> shown under Item 6 of the Bid Schedule. Any or all incidental costs incurred by the <br /> CONTRACTOR shall be reflected in each Bid Item or shall be paid at the <br /> CONTRACTOR's expense. <br /> TASK 7 FENCING <br /> Barbed-wire fencing will be constructed as shown on the site drawings according to the <br /> Barbed-Wire Fencing specifications (18.0) in the General Bid Specifications. It is <br /> anticipated that 2,950 of five-wire fence will be constructed along sections of the <br /> northern site boundary. <br /> 9 <br />
