Fage 2 <br />Permit No: M-79-045 <br />Operation Name: Church Pit <br />Anniversary Date: 02/28/2008 <br />(3) Clay -Mining will continue in Stage I or Stage II, no new area will be disturbed this year <br />because we are mining in the area stripped in previous years. We will continue to deepen the <br />bottom of the mine into the clay veins exposed in the past and advance the face to the north as <br />approved. Processing will continue in the Clay Plant Site Area in Stage 0 (purple). We will <br />begin to removed overburden on the east side of the clay deposit to expose additional clay in <br />that area. The clay is being removed from the storage pile on the east side of Stage II (tar_). <br />It is blended with the clay from this mine at our brick plant in Lakewood. <br />Gravel -Mining may resume in Stage A atld progress to the east and north this year. <br />Processing will be done in the area east of the old Clay pit (orange). As the perimeter of the <br />mine is reached sloping will begin as approved in the approved plan. Mining will continue to <br />removed material between the Church Pit and the Rocky Flats Pit as approved in the permit. <br />No sloping will be required in this area that separates the mines. Growth medium will be <br />stockpiled along the mine perimeter for use in reclamation. <br />(4) No reclamation is called for during the next year. Ilowever, backfilling will continue on the <br />slopes in the old clay pit. The waste material from gravel processing will be used to construct <br />the south mine slope from the original ground level to the pit floor. We will continue to fill <br />the north slope of the old clay. pit and begin to do sloping on the east side of Stage A if the <br />gravel operator removes the overburden pile next to the face on that side. If the opportunity <br />to sell rock from the southwest overburden pile occurs, that removal will continue as well. <br />(5) CURRENT CONTACT <br />Thomas J.
