MINING PLAN (coNT) EXHIBIT C
will be moved to another site and the processed material will be
removed as needed. The mine will operate from March 1 to Novem-
ber 15 with periods of inactivity when adverse weather conditions
exist or there is no demand for material. During most years this
is the only time the mine is accessible due deep snow. No
estimate can be made on how long these periods of inactivity will
be, but some may last up to 6 months or more.
The bond estimate presented on Page 11 shows the amount of
land that will be disturbed as a worse case scenario. The
benches will be reclaimed as they are created and no additional
sloping will be necessary. The floor of the mine will be graded
so is the drainage pattern matches the existing conditions. Map
Exhibit E-2 shows how we think the site will look when reclamation
is complete.
Little or no water will be used at the site. If dust
control water is used it will be obtained from sources Grand
County has available and approved for that use.
8
