~, access to the mine will be secured to prohibit unauthorized persons from entering
the site.
Unforseeable events such as strikes, fuel shortages, major equipment failures
and others could possibly cause all or part of the mining and reclamation opera-
tions to cease temporarily. It is unlikely that cessation of operations as a
result of these Cypes of events would be excessive but it could be of indeter-
minate length. However, once it is determined that a temporary shutdown has or
will occur and that it will exceed thirty days, Trapper Mining Inc. will begin
compiling the information thaC will be included in the notice of temporary cessa-
tion of operations. Within thirty days thereof, the completed notice of tempo-
rary cessation of operations will be submitCed.
Thirty days are needed to insure that there is enough time to gather, compile and
transmit the required information since extensive surveying must be conducted.
The 30-day peciud will allow enough Cime for the information to be gathered, com-
piled and submiCted to the regulatory authority in a complete and accurate form.

3.1.7 PermanenC Cessation of Operations
Permanent cessation of operations will occur after reserves in the mine plan area
are exhausted, The existing fuel agreement between Trapper Mining Inc. and the
utility companies requires coal deliveries to continue through the year 2014.
PermanenC cessation of operations during the life of this proposed permit is
therefore highly unlikely and is not a part of any current mine plans. If fur
some unforeseen reason, permanent cessation of operations should become imminent,
Trapper Mining Inc. will inform the appropriate regulatory authorities.
Notice of permanent cessation of operations will include:
- The number of acres affected during the mining and reclamation operations.
- The ex Cent and type of reclamation accomplished.
- Identification of those structures that will be removed and those that will be
retained.
•
3-17
REVISED FEB 13 '87
