M06083MT <br />11/28/0& <br />Page Two <br />' Sieve Analysis Tests <br />' The sieve analysis tests were conducted in general accordance <br />with ASTM Test Method D422. The results of the sieve analysis <br />tests are presented on Figures 7 through 8. <br />' Hydrometer Tests <br />' The hydrometer test measures the theoretical sphere diameter of <br />the soil samples tested using the change in density of the water- <br />soil solution with time. The test was performed in accordance <br />with ASTM D422. The results of the tests are shown on Figures 7 <br />through $. <br />Direct Shear Strength Tests <br />' Direct shear strength properties of remolded samples were <br />evaluated in general accordance with testing procedures defined <br />' by ASTM Test Method D3080. The direct shear strength test data <br />are presented on Figures 9 and 10. <br />Falling Head Permeability Tests <br />The falling head permeability tests were performed on samples <br />remolded at near the optimum moisture content at near the maximum <br />dry density as determined by the Standard Proctor test discussed <br />above.
