This letter presents the results of the laboratory tests of the
' samples provided to us by Mr. Jed Greenwood, Barr Engineering
Company. The samples were delivered to our office 24 October
2006. The laboratory assignment was submitted to us 25 October
' 2006. We initiated our laboratory study 25 October 2006 and
completed our study 22 November 2006.
The laboratory study consisted of performing:
. Moisture Content Tests,
. Standard Proctor, Moisture Content-Dry Density Relationship,
. Sieve Analysis Tests,
. Hydrometer Tests,
. Direct Shear Strength Tests, and
. Falling Head Permeability Tests.
Moisture Content and Dry Density
The moisture content was determined according to ASTM Test
' Method D2216. The results of the moisture determinations are
presented on Figures 1.
' Standard Proctor
The Standard Proctor, Moisture Content-Dry Density Relationship
' Test, tests were performed in accordance with ASTM 698C and the
results are presented on Figures 2 through 6.
