Notice of Intent to Explore Involving Removal of 250 Tons or Less of Coal Jeep Trail Coal Exploration Plan Area Delta County, Colorado December 2007 Introduction This plan is submitted to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Colorado Department of Natural Resources, in accordance with the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, 34-33-101 et seq., C. R. S. 1973 as Amended, Section 34-33-117, and the Rules promulgated thereunder. Further references will be in the form of §2.02.2(2)(c). Bowie Resources, LLC may hereinafter be referred to as BRL. Purpose The purpose of this proposed coal exploration plan is to further define the quality characteristics and extent of the coal reserves located adjacent to a tract of federally owned coal referred to as the "Ironpoint Tract", Federal coal lease COC 61209. Although some exploration of this coal reserve has been recorded in the past, a new and more concentrated drilling program is needed to extend BRL's knowledge of coal quality, to ascertain measurable reserves and establish ground water monitoring wells where needed.
