BRL does not <br />anticipate encountering any significant aquifers in the course of the proposed exploration <br />program. <br />Method for Plugging Drill Holes <br />• Holes not completed as surveillance, gob vent holes or monitoring wells will be sealed <br />using cement or other approved sealant from total depth to within three feet of the <br />surface. Drill cuttings may be mixed with cement or other approved sealant during <br />sealing. Holes will be marked with afour-foot (minimum) steel roof bolt or a T-shaped <br />fence post. Sealing will be in compliance with §4.07.3. <br />That portion of the hole between the cement seal and the [reclaimed] ground surface will <br />be filled with dirt, drill cuttings, or both to minimize hazards to wildlife, livestock, and <br />humans. <br />Plans for Transfer and Modification of Exploration Drill Holes to Be Used as <br />Surveillance, Monitoring, or Water Wells <br />The operator will modify both of these holes into gob vents. <br />§2.02.2(2)(h): Endangered or Threatened Species <br />The road and drill site proposed for this Jeep Trail XPA was surveyed during the <br />environmental assessment for the Alder Creek Exploration Plan, COC-66126, NOI CX- <br />2002-08. Alder Creek Exploration Hole IP2001-21 aka IP2001-1 is in the same location <br />as proposed Jeep Trail exploration hole JT-1. The T & E Survey performed by Monarch <br />& Associates if enclosed as an appendix. <br />• <br />
