4-3a <br />land is small to the point of insignificance when compared to <br />similar land in the area, and as such would not logically <br />support a use other than that realized on adjacent lands. <br />The uses historically and presently realized in the area <br />(Sections 4.1.2.1 and 4.1.2.2) are a direct result of the <br />isloated nature of the area, extremely steep topography, lack <br />of water, and limited vegetative growth media. <br />4.1.3 Prime Farmland <br />Based upon soil characterizations, the soils of the Munger <br />Canyon site would not qualify as prime farmland. A negative <br />declaration was requested from the United States Department of <br />Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service, and has been provided <br />in Appendix L_ See also Section 4.1:4. <br />i <br />
