EXHIBIT D <br />RECLAMATION PLAN <br />The pit area will be reshaped and reclaimed with side slopes no greater than 3:1. The <br />excess pit fines and pit waste material will be placed and shaped to accept a layer of <br />topsoil. Seeding will be done in accordance with the recommendation of the Natural <br />Resources Conservation Service. <br />A. Pit fines and pit waste material will be placed atop the disturbed area and <br />contoured to accept the stockpiled topsoil. <br />B. Side slopes will be no greater than 3:1 and of no less than one percent for the <br />disturbed area. <br />(i) Topsoil which was stockpiled, will be seeded immediately to prevent <br />erosion. <br />(ii) Seeding of the site will be done once the mining process is underway, yet <br />prior to the soil freezing. No fertilizer will be applied. <br />(iii) The following grass species will be used to reseed the site. This rate is <br />based on pounds of pure live seed per acre. <br />SPECIE POUNDS PLS/ACRE <br />Western Wheatgrass - Arriba 2.0 <br />Thickspike Wheatgrass -Critana 0.8 <br />Slender Wheatgrass -Critana 0.1 <br />Russian Wildrye - Vinal 0.8 <br />Beardless Wheatgrass - Whitmar 1.5 <br />Total Pounds PLS/Acre 5.2 <br />(iv) The topsoil will be seeded. <br />(v) Mulch is not needed. <br />(vi) No shrubs or trees are to be planted. <br />C. Once the grass species on the reclaimed pit are established, the area will be used <br />as rangeland. <br />
