• Drainage -Drainage control for this road originally included ditches along both sides of
the road with two CMP culverts for cross drainage. The culverts were removed at the
request of PSC as part of their sediment control for the ash disposal area and runoff on
the south side of the road is controlled by them. The ditch along the north side of the
road will be maintained according to the design in Appendix 13-1. Where the road is
adjacent to the CRDA 1, the SE collection ditch will the runoff is directed to Pond 6.
The remainder of drainage on the north side of the road is directed to Coal Creek.
Design fora 30" CMP culvert at the west end of the road where the it crosses the
CRDA 1, SE collection ditch is given in Appendix 13-2.
Surtacing -The roadbase for this road appears to be approximately 12" of pit run
gravel. The surface of the road is 3/4" roadbase gravel.

Maintenance -The road is watered regularly during use and graded as necessary.
Mg-CI is applied to the surface once or twice a year to reduce the watering
requirements.
Structure
Location
Construction Dates
Haul Road 6 CRDA 2, Exhibit 51 1985
• (Formerly Access Road #7)
Description -This road is approximately 280 feet long leading from the Haul Road,~'to
the Cameo Refuse Disposal Area (CRDA) No. 2 where a temporary road continues up
the face of the pile.
Design and Construction -Minor cuts and fills were made to access the CRDA 2.
The grade on the road averages 5°.6. The roadway is approximately 20' wide. Figure
13-2 is a typical cross section for the design of this road.
Drainage -Drainage control for this road includes ditches along inside edge of the
road with a 30" CMP culvert at the west end where it crosses the CRDA 2, East
collection ditch. The ditch road will be maintained according to the design in Appendix
13-1 to direct runoff to Coal Creek. Design for the culvert is given in Appendix 13-2.
Surfacing -The roadbase for this road appears to be approximately 12" of pit run
gravel. The surface of the road is 3/4" roadbase gravel.
Maintenance -The road is watered regularly during use and graded as necessary.
Mg-CI is applied to the surface once or twice a year to reduce the watering
requirements.
•
T13-2-5 (Rev. 9/99)
