The landslide area stretches from the <br />Deer Creek Ventilation Shaft and Escapeway of E-seam in the SOD mine (the light colored tear drop shaped area in the left background) to the break in slope <br />south of the dam (elongate shaded zone in the middle background) to the fresher-looking scarp on the right (right to middle ground). The landslide on the right <br />part of the photograph took out, and temporarily caused closing of the Dry Fork road in the mid 1990s. The part of the landslide deposit located south of <br />Monument Dam and the lower part of Minnesota Reservoir and the lightly-shaded break in slope (center middleground) also became active in the mid 1990s. <br />Based on examination of 1963 USGS aerial photos of the area, the remainder of this large landslide area has remained stable since 1963. <br />.. ~' <br />.- ~. <br />-- ''- ._. <br />831-032.780 Wright Water Engineers, Inc.
