Fall 2007 Subsidence and Geologic Field Observations
Box Canyon, Apache Rocks, and South of Divide Mining Areas
•

•
5.7.3 Location 11 (Location 15 of the Spring 2007 Field Visit)
Location 1 } is a spring piped to two stock tanks located 300 feet northeast of the locked gate at
location F' of traverse F-F' above the northwestern part of unmincd longwall panel Eb (Figure
30). The overburden depth to the E-scam at the spring is about 500 feet. The estimated Clow to
the stock tanks during this tall visit was 0.05 to 1 g}nn, ur about I i 10`I' the estimated 5 gpm
observed in the spring.

^`sy~ . i ,j . .~.
1~:;, _ - ., dd: _ ./. ~',p, jam` o .. ~ ~!1 y,
~q~. ~ -= ~ ,,..yTA. tai. - -. ,fy R^~37 ~ ~ ~` -~1 II~C~
r'R" t h ~~1r ~~
1. ~S .. ~~
~:r.~': ,
~~, ~a ri~
Figure 30. The seep/spring area is located on
the nose of a hillside between two drainages that merge at this location.
5.8 Traverse G-G'
"Traverse G-G' begins at the Dry Fork road and the fork in the Deer Creek road and proceeds east
and southeast along the Dry Fork road to the mine permit houndary_ on upper Dry Fork. This
traverse is equivalent to traverse S-S' trom the ?005 Subsidence Report. This traverse is above
planned longwall panels E2 through E4 where the oti~erburden depth to the E-seam ranges from
40U to 1,000 teet.
831-032.780 Wright Water Engineers, Inc.
