Sherman
Executive Director
(Vacant)
State Engineer
We have received your request for renewal of the Line Camp Pit Substitute
Water Supply Plan dated July 23, 2007 and additional engineering submitted on October
18, 2007. The original plan was approved on May 16, 2002, and no water was exposed
prior to January 1, 1981. The renewal fee of $257 has been accepted with receipt no.
3619291.
PLAN OPERATION
This plan is to provide replacement water for depletions caused by the Line
Camp Pit. Well Permit No. 57737-F was approved pursuant to this SWSP on June 26,
2002 for the exposure of ground water in a gravel pit, water consumed in the mined
product, and dust control. The amounts of water consumed by those uses are provided
on Attachment 1.
DEPLETIONS
The consumption during this plan year is estimated to be 10.54 acre-feet for
evaporation and 0.88 acre-feet for water consumed in the mined product. The lagged
depletion based upon a Glover Analysis to the Dolores River from the water
consumption is estimated at 11.43 acre-feet. (See Table 2. Total Depletions)
REPLACEMENTS
The replacement water provided in this plan is from the consumptive use credits
associated with dry-up of 18.9 acres of lands that have previously been irrigated by the
Home Ditch and from a lease with the Dolores Water Conservancy District.
