,~
C. F. & I. CANON CI'PY QUARRY REPORT
caacLUSlav
Vibrations at all five locations were detected and recorded. The results
are tabulated and included as a separate page in this report. Tne maxirman
particle velocity occurred at the Murphy Residence - 0.03 inches/second.
Currant, most stringent regulations, specify one inch/second as a limit
that could cause structural damage. A limit of two inches/second was
common in 1977 and preceding years.
PARTICLE VELOCITY CURVES
Two curves have been prepared and are included in this report. It is
emphasized that the two curves are based on five points only - a very
minimal number which provide a trend only. However, the curves will glue
a good indication of velocities expected frrom specific blast charges.
Additional points may be obtained from monitoring future blasts so as to
obtain a more accurate and meaningfLl set of curves.
SEISMOGRAPH RECORDINGS
Enclosed with the report are copies showing the velocities obtained at each
instrument station. Actual velocities obtained are clearly visible.
VME - COLORADO
