Long
16° Annual Hydrology Report Division Director
Dear Mr. Wanstedt:
This letter is to aclrnowledge receipt of [he referenced annual hydrology report for the 1999-2000 water
year. The report appears in general to be thorough and wmplete, and has been forwarded to Denver for
PHC compliance review.
I identified one potential concern during my preliminary review, regarding Footnote 1 to the Hydrologic
Monitoring Requirements table on page A-1 of the report The note.specifies that middle facie zones at
designated well sites "will be sampled and analyzed prior to mining through or bond release". This
requirement would apply to Piezometer No. 32-7M, which was.apparently mined through early in the 2000-
2001 water year, however full suite sample analyses for the well were riot included in the report. Please .
submit the analyses if a sample was obtained, or address the apparentdeficiency-ifs sample was not
obtained.
Please contact me if you have questions.
Sincere~~-•
\ ~/~~
Dan T.
