(refer to enclosed map)
This amounted to approximately 1 acre of reclaimed land.
Mining and Reclamation - 1990
In the fall of 1990 we did some mining on the east side of the pit,
which affected approximately ]/4 to 1/2 acre. (refer to map)
Our reclamation involved back filling an area 175' x 50'
(approx. 1/4 acre) near the west end of the pit, which is approximately
6 to $ feet deeper than the rest of the entire bottom of the pit.
(shaded area on map)
Reasons for doing this were not only to complete reclamation on
entire bottom of the pit, but also to eliminate exposed ground water
in regards to a water augmentation plan required by Colorado Division
of Water Resources. We did this after consulting with Steve Van Diver,
Colorado Division of Water Resources, who told us that if we did not
have a large area of exposed water, we would not need an augmentation
plan for the particular pit.
READY MIXED CONCRETE - WASHED SAND - CRUSHED ROCK
