Clapton
Mined Land Reclamation Division
215 Centennial Building
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, Colorado 80203-2273
Re: Subsidence Monitoring
Permit C-81-039
Dear Mr. Clapton:
The enclosed table is a summary of the results of a subsidence
survey done May 1 & 2, 1989. The points which were monitored are
house nos. 2, 6, 7 and 8 and their control points. These houses
were monitored because mining has been done within their ~--
projected zone of influence shown on Map 2.05.6(6)(fl(iil(c)-1.
House no. 1, which was within the zone of influence, has been
moved.
The May 1989 survey information is compared to the survey data
compiled in September 1986 and the original survey data taken in
1982. As in the past, sub-points were monitored using EDM with
vertical angle measurements. Relative elevations from the sub-
points to the houses were obtained by a level loop.
The significant information in this survey is the change in the
relative elevation of a house and its respective sub-point. Fol-
lowing is a list of that information.
RELATIVE ELEVATION RELATIVE ELEVATION
HOUSE CHANGE 9/86 - 5/89 CHANGE 1982 - 5/89
Ii-2-1 -0.01 -0.02
K-2-2 0.00 -0.04
0-8-1 -0.03 0.00
0-8-2 -0.03 -0.01
R-6-1 -0.01 -0.01
R-6-2 0.00 -0.03
5-7-1 0.00 -0.02
If you have any questions regarding this information, please
call.
Sincerely,
~i ~'_
Jim Stover, P.E.
Chief Engineer
