instrument Log
January 1992
Author: Victor Gurule
1f2f92

1) Found the Sag Mill gear box Chromalox not working
properly. The LED's never powered up. I Cleaned the bard and
checked for any shorts or component damage on the cards.
Never was able to get the card to work properly.
2) I wrote up a procedure on how to keep the oil heated on
the SAG Mill gear box.
3) Worked on the telemetry system and found that it wasn't
working. The signal coming back from the bore pumps kept
showing that the bore pumps weren't running while the coils
were locked in. Paul is going to have the system checked by
somebody from Mojave.
42 Worked on the maintenance schedule and the spare parts
list.
1f3/92
1) Called up Chromalox to find out how quickly I could get
a new unit and what I should do. The Chromalox sales
representative told me that I would be able to get a unit
repaired within a 24 hour period and that would be the
quickest way to get,a functioning unit. So I sent the old
unit out to be repaired.
2) Received the repaired Ronan nuclear density gauge and
installed it. The gauge was reading an under density even
though slurry was running through the line, thus I assumed
the gauge was not calibrated properly.
3) Cleaned all the Ph probes and calibrated all the Ph
transmitters.
1f6f9z
Mill were down for millwrights repairs.
1) Cleaned all the Ph probes.
2) Cleaned the weight meter scales {load cell) for CV2.
Calibrated (zero and span) the CV2 weight meter. Visually
inspected the belt alignment, the zero speed indicator and
the lanyards.
3) Printed out and made modifications to the maintenance
