Kvaerner Metals <br /> <br /> <br />J <br />Project No. 306900 <br />General Specification No. GC-01 <br />Site Work <br />A local start/ stop station will be enclosed in the main control box for <br />emergency operation of the gate. <br />A remote start/ stop station will be installed in each control room of the <br />Upper and Lower site. <br />Each gate will have a current loop that will control gate closure. <br /> <br />II <br />~. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />1 <br />1 <br /> <br />A telephone inside a "Call box" will be located near the entrance side of <br />each gate to communicate to the control room. <br />Each gate will be monitored by Closed Circuit Television systems and a <br />monitor will be in each control room as well as the lobby desk at the <br />Lower site. <br />The inside portion of the current loop will activate the gate to open when <br />exiting each site. <br />10.0 ROADS <br />Location, alignment and width of roads shall be as shown on the drawings. Excavation <br />and fill for all roads shall be in accordance with Section 4.0 and Section 5.0 of this <br />specification. <br />Material for road subbase shall meet the requirements of Section 5.2, and shall be <br />placed and compacted as specified. <br />Aggregate base shall conform to the following gradation: <br />t Sieve Size Percent, by weight, Passing <br />1-1/2 inch 100 <br />' 1 inch 80-100 <br />No. 4 55-70 <br />No. 16 0~0 <br />' No. 200 5-12 <br />Aggregate base sha!Fbe spread ir. a 6 inch thickr~ss or as indicated on the drawings. <br />The spreading shall allow for development of the required crown upon completion of <br />compaction. <br />Compaction of aggregate surface shall immediately follow the spreading operation, and <br />shall be in accordance with Section 5.3 of this specification. <br />' J:V069~VJRSPEG197RUG71GG015PC.UOC, flwr. ~1~ 12 PmIW July 27. 1898 <br />
