Seneca II 1999 Annual Reclamation Report <br />Di qi tar Submission of 1999 Annual Reclamation Report <br />Seneca Coal Company (SCC), in cooperation with the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology, submi [s [he Seneca II 1999 Annual P.e cla matron Repot with maps on CD-ROM. The maps <br />are AutoCAD Version 14 drawings and can be overlaid with previous year submittals by <br />inserting at point 0,0. Also, an updated existing topography contour map is included on the <br />CD-ROM. See Ex hi 6i[ 9-3 a, from [he <br />1995 report for [he lr mi[s of disturbance as of December 31, 1999. <br />Ba ckfillinq and Gradin <br />GCC continued the final pit reclamation grading of the Wolf Creek and wadge pits rn 1999. <br />• By the end of 1959, 43.5 acres were backfilled and graded. These areas are shown on <br />drawing 5299-2. <br />Soil and Spoil Monitou nq <br />SCC is required by Permit C-80-005 to monitor the salvage, storage, and redistri6u ti on of <br />soil and spoil handlrny operations at Seneca II Mine. Specific programs inclutle documenting <br />soil recovery, verifying soil redistribution thickness, determining final graded spoil <br />quality, determining soil fertility, evaluating plan[ rooting characteristics, recortling <br />[he source of replaced soil, and completing an annual soil balance.
