I
•
u
summery
The surface water section of this report indicates en 800 umho (23 percent) increase in EC
between the upstream (HGSD1) end the new downstream (NGSD2) sites during the spring
sampling. This increase is no greater then what has been previously observed between
XGSD1 end XGSD2 (the old downstream site). This EC increase is mostly due to naturally
occurring reline soils in the area end also irrigation return water. TDS values et ell
surface water sites were no greater then values previously observed, indicating that no
upward trends in salinity are evident.
The Ground water section of this report indicates a decrease in TDS values es one
progresses downgradient. Also, the number of chemical parameters that exceeded previously
observed values for each well also decreased as one progressed downgredient. Drought
conditions observed this year may have contributed to the number of ehemieal parameters
that exceeded previously observed values. The fact that TDS values decreased downgredient
indicates that XGT has an unmeasurable impact on the alluvial system.
3
