Substitute Supply Plan for the
L (; EVAlISt Aap~~tw Onaration
the flow in the Blue River is below the CWCB flow of 75 cfs an average of eight days (27 percent)
under the dry year conditions.
Dillon Reservoir
L.G. Everist has entered into an agreement with Summit County for 4.3 acre-feet of storage in
Dillon Reservoir. Under this agreement, 6 acre-feet of Green Mountain Reservoir water is
transferred to, and stored in, Dillon Reservoir in exchange for the 4.3 acre-feet of storage. A copy of
the Dillon Reservoir agreement is included as Attachment 7. Approximately 4.0 acre-feet of water
is available from this source afrer committing water to the Love Pit Augmentation Plan
(96C W 176).
Augmentation Summary
Tables 8A and SB summarize the depletion and replacement requirements for water used at the
proposed MCR operation for the first and second years, respectively. These tables demonstrate
how the use of the historic consumptive use from the dry up of irrigated acreage under the South
Rock Creek, Old Whetstone/Sheep Creek, and McKay Ditches, in addition to releases from
Green Mountain Reservoir, Dillon Reservoir, and the proposed Augmentation Pond meet the
projected operational demands. Table SA demonstrates that releases from Green Mountain and
Dillon Reservoirs are sufficient to meet out-of-priority depletions to the Blue River during the
first yeaz of operation. During the second yeaz of operation, the Augmentation Pond will be
completed, sealed, and filled with excess irrigation consumptive use water from dry up. The
depletions during the second year of operation will be replaced by releases from Green Mountain
Reservoir, Dillon Reservoir, and 4.98 acre-feet from the Augmentation Pond as shown in Table
8B.
881-025.110 Wright Water Engineers, Inc.
