Substitute Supply Plan for the
I G_ Evarist Appreyatw Doerafi~n
Mr. Mike Claffey of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USAGE). L.G. Everist is seeking to
obtain a 404 permit from the USAGE to mitigate the impacted wetlands at the proposed operation
site.
There will be no additional operational losses associated with the proposed facilities.
Total Operational Requirements
The total operational requirements for the proposed aggregate resource operation during the first
and second years of operation aze summarized in Table 2A and 2B, respectively. The average
distance from the proposed operation to the Blue River is approximately 1,000 feet. As a result,
a stream depletion analysis using Glover techniques was conducted on the anticipated operational
losses to determine the lagged effect on the stream. The results of this analysis show that there is
a one month lag between the time the depletion occurs and the time it fully impacts the river (see
Attachment ] ). This analysis is based on aquifer chazacteristics described in the U.S. Geological
Survey's publication entitled Colorado Ground Water Circular No. l1 for a well completed in
the Blue River alluvium in Section 18, Township 5 South, Range 77 West of the 6'~ P.M. (see
Attachment 2). These values include a transmissivity of 180,000 gallons per day per foot and a
specific yield of 0.18.
AUGMENTATION SUPPLY
Consumptive use from the dry-up of historically irrigated acreage on the Maryland Creek Ranch
will be the primary source of replacement water for replacement of operational losses. The
consumptive use from the transfer and change in use of these rights aze only available during the
historic irrigation season of approximately May 1 and October 31. L.G. Everist plans to
construct an Augmentation Pond during the first two years of this operation to store excess
irrigation season water for release during the non-irrigation season.
881-025.110 Wright Wafer Engineers, lnc.
