West Elk Mine 2004 Annual Hydrology Report 15 <br />• 3.2.2.2 Spring 10-1 <br />Spring 10-1 is located on the east side of Lower Box Canyon. It is north of the Box Canyon Panels <br />and issues from alluvium on slopes tributary to the North Fork. Flow is seasonal and it is typically <br />dry in late summer. <br />3.2.2.3 SprinAE10-2 <br />Spring E10-2 is located on a hillside east of an unnamed drainage tributary to the North Fork <br />between Sylvester Gulch and Box Canyon. This spring is in landslide material below a fractured <br />sandstone cliff. It is north of the Box Canyon Panels. Flow has not been observed during the past <br />3 years. <br />3.2.2.4 Sprin,¢ IS-1 <br />Spring 15-1 is located on the west side of an unnamed drainage tributary to North Fork between <br />Sylvester Gulch and Box Canyon. This spring is north of the Box Canyon Panels. The spring <br />issues from alluvium and water is present only during peak flow months. <br />3.2.2.5 Spring G-la <br />• Spring G-la is in Sylvester Gulch on the west side of the drainage, north of the Box Canyon Panel <br />area. It issues from alluvium and is seasonal with moisture present only during periods of snow <br />melt or peak flow. <br />3.2.2.6 Sprinx G-20 <br />Spring G-20 is in middle Sylvester Gulch on the east side of the drainage. It is located north of the <br />Box Canyon Panels and east of the mine facilities. It issues from alluvium or landslide material <br />and disperses water through a grassy azea. <br />3.2.3 Springs above the B Seam in the Jumbo Mountain Area in the <br />North Fork Drainage Basin <br />3.2.3.1 Spring CR-12 <br />Spring CR-12 is in Lone Pine Gulch north of the NW mine panels.
