O BOX 2162 <br />DURANGO, COLORADO Bt301 <br />May 29, 1984 <br />r <br />T0: National King Coal, Inc. <br />SUBJECT: Quarterly Subsidence Monitoring, First Quarter 1984 <br />1) The first quarterly visual inspection for subsidence, King <br />Coal Mine, La Plata County, Colorado was made on May 28, 1984. <br />2) Survey stations were monitored by Clifford Schmid, L.S. <br />Memorandum attached. <br />3) No new evidence of subsidence is apparent. <br />4) No inspection was made during the first quarter because of <br />snow cover. <br />The surface area above both old and current workings was <br />inspected on May 28, 1984. The surface was inspected for ev- <br />idence of slump, subsidence, shearing, cracks in bedrock, veg- <br />etation damage and water infiltration.
