Completion of Approval Terms for TR-16
' Deaz Mr. Oehler:
As outlined in the January 14, 1994 TR-16 approval letter,
the Division required the installation of additional
piezometers and the placement of set-back markers for the
water pool.
' Stipulation No. 1 stated:
' "The operator will install and monitor a minimum of ten
piezometers, with five installed along the crest o£ the
embankment raise and five installed along the upstream
' toe of the embankment raise. The piezometers are to be
installed and monitored in accordance with a design and
protocol to be approved by the Division_ A design for
the piezometers must be submitted for review and
approval by February 15, 1994. The piezometers must be
' installed by March 15, 1994 and the tailings surface
elevation in the lowez pond may not exceed one foot
' beyond the elevation at the base of Raise 1 at the time
of piezometer installation."
As outlined in the approved TR-16, ten additional
piezometers were installed in the tailings disposal area on
March 11-13, 1994. The design and location of the
piezometers was approved by the Division on March 10, 1994.
' Five piezometers were installed along the crest o£ the Phase
II, Anise I embankment raise. These piezometers are
identified as P11-P15. The coordinates for the embankment
piezometers are:
