<br />PEEL TEST FOR HOT WEDGE SEAM WELD <br />This test is the most severe test that a seam can be subjected to. The peel test is the <br />greatest proof that a seam will have the strength to last the life of the flexible membrane <br />liner (Fiv1L). The mechanical procedures of the peel test aze as follows: <br />Procedure: <br />Seam sample cut approximately one inch wide by approximately six inches long. <br />Only the inner weld track is peeled apart in this destructive test. The outer track <br />(directly at sheet edge) is for the purpose of air pressure testing capabilities. <br />Clamp bottom tabs into the testing machine (Field Tensiometer or Lab Instron), <br />tum on machine and pull the seam (See Detail A). <br />4. All testing of destructive samples of fusion seam will be in accordance with <br />ASTNI Ddli and ASTM 638. <br />Passing results for a seam aze determined to be FTB per the chart titled, Destructive <br />Testing of Dual Hot Wedge. <br />54 <br />
