RIILE 2. 1 7 ESTIMATES OF THE LOCATION AND NUMBER OF ACRES TO BE
AFFECTED IN THE COMING YEAR.
The number of acres to be affected in the next year cannot be
accurately determined as the aggregate market is still extremely
unstable, although it appears to be improving. The area delineated as
FIITURE MINING on the annual report map projects the extension of the
current mining area to include this area. Of course, ae the quarry
mining area expands southward, land behind is completed with mining.
Therefore the amount of acreage actually involved in mining during any
particular year remains at a fairly constant level of between 8 and 16
acres. The actual amount depends largely upon the configuration of the
area where mining is to occur. Certain configurations determined by the
rock type, dip, and relationship to other areas greatly determines how
much land is needed.
MAP: Attached is the annual report map. It is very similar to last
years map. Only a few features were altered.
Page /, of 4 1989 PIKEVIEW QUARRY ANNUAL REPORT
