<br />Water Levels. Water levels for all calls that are in the current monitoring program are <br />presented in Appendix C. Hydrographs of all historic data for each well are presented <br />prior to the water level reports (Eor all data since 1991) for each respective well in the <br />same appendix. By presenting all historic data, trends related to seasonal and annual <br />variability are more clearly evident. Water level meaeurementa aze taken with an <br />electrical water level indicator, or in the case of a feu shallow alluvial wells, directly <br />from a steel tape. Si Ce information, Including sampling frequencies, is presented in <br />Table 3, Summary of Ground Water Monitoring Wells. Ground water level moni Goring <br />frequencies are listed on Page 15-3-3 of the Seneca II-W PAP. <br />- Alluvium. The alluvial monitoring Wells WNAL6-1, 6-2, 6-3, 6-4, and 7-2 are loco t¢d <br />along Hubbe rs on Gulch. All walla exhibit water level seasonal variations typical fox the <br />alluvium, i.e., shallot after the spring recharge, deepening towards the fall. Water <br />levels at Wells 6-1 to 6-3 are now higher than they would normally be in May through July <br />due to recently introduced (May, 19H 9) irrigation in that azea. Well WHAL10 ie situated <br />approximately one-half mile donne tream of the NPDES 006 pond on a tributary to Hubberson <br />Gulch. It also exhibits seasonal vaziations typical of previously mentioned monitoring <br />wells. <br />Well WOAL11, situated immediately above the NPDES 005 Pond, is normally dry. Well WSAL12 <br />is ai tuated nett to the lower Sage Creek flume ai to (WBSF3). Well WSAL13 is ei tuated on <br />the northern tributary to Sage Creek (NPDES 009 Gult~h) Well WSAL14 ie located on the <br />southern tributary to Sage Creek belor the proposed NPDES 015 pond. Walls YSAL1, 3, H, <br />and 12 are old Uni tad Stelae Geological Survey alluvial cells eituatad along upper Saga <br />Creek and aze also a part of SCC's Yoaet Mine monitoring netro ck. Most of these rolls <br />ezhibit typical seasonal variations. Seasonal variation at Well YSAL3 is masked by local <br />recharge from adjacent beaver dams in Saga Creek. <br />- Wadga Overburden. Moat of the six Wadga overburden walla exhibit seasonal vaziationa <br />typical of the overburden aquifer (i.e., shallot in the spring or summer, deepening in the <br />fall). Wells 1UV14, 16, and 17 all exhibited an increase in rater levels over the past <br />several years, chile Well WOV18 exhiblted a decrease in rater levels. Wells WOV4-1 and 4- <br />2 are in the proposed II-W South Expansion area. Monitoring at these tro calla ras <br />. resumed in 1997 after being discontinued in 1985. <br />3 <br />
