Spring S-d8, a.k.a. the Flander'a Spring, was developed by SCC in the fall of 1992 par a
• landowner's agreement with Ralph Flanders. It is not required by the hydrological
monitoring program, monitoring is voluntary. The first lab sample was taken on June 2J,
199G. The EC plot indicates a increasing trend.

Spring S-7 in an alluvial cleazwell located adjacent to Hubberaon Gulch. it serves as the
non-pc table watet supply at the Smith ranch. Due to the taste and possible coliform
contamination of the Spring, bottled rater is used for drinking. Sax~ling at this aprinq
ass discontinued in 1990, but was reestablished thin yeaz since it is downstream of future
mining at Seneca II-W South.
Spring S-d9 is located in the II-W South Expansion area lust upstream of the proposed
NPDES 016 pond. It Is a developed spring that flora into a metal stock tank. It was
first sampled in August 1997. It is not part of the requrred monitoring program. Ho data
was collected this year, but will be next year.
The hydrology monitoring program at the Seneca II-W Mine requires a spoil aprinq survey
every year after the aprinq snowpack runoff. Spoil Spring 1 (WSSPGI, not to be confused
wi to WSPG1), was discovered in 1998 above the NPDES 005 pontl. It exists approximately 800
feet sou theist of Well GW-52W-1CW. This yeaz, low Elor was observed in June and no flow
in September.
Spoil Spring 2 (WSSPG2) was discovered this June
channel adj scent to Spring S-5.
Spoil Spring 3 (WSSPG3) was discovered this September
east of Pond 006.
It is located in the main stream
It ie located immediately to the
Comparison of Surface Water quality to Water Uae Standards. SCC has compiled a list of
surface water standards For agricultural uses (Table 91. This list is composed mostly of
CDOH surface water agricultural use standards as of March 1999 (see footnotes B, C, and F
on that table), although other agency standards have been used if the CDOH hie no surface
water agricultural standard for a particular parameter (all other footno tea).
Table 30 provides a eompaziaon of surface water quality to agricultural atandazda. This
Paradox database generated table does not include the unite of concentration (mg/1 or
~~
