Spring S-d8, a.k.a. the Flander'a Spring, was developed by SCC in the fall of 1992 par a <br />• landowner's agreement with Ralph Flanders. It is not required by the hydrological <br /> monitoring program, monitoring is voluntary. The first lab sample was taken on June 2J, <br /> 199G. The EC plot indicates a increasing trend. <br /> <br /> <br />Spring S-7 in an alluvial cleazwell located adjacent to Hubberaon Gulch. it serves as the <br />non-pc table watet supply at the Smith ranch. Due to the taste and possible coliform <br />contamination of the Spring, bottled rater is used for drinking. Sax~ling at this aprinq <br />ass discontinued in 1990, but was reestablished thin yeaz since it is downstream of future <br />mining at Seneca II-W South. <br />Spring S-d9 is located in the II-W South Expansion area lust upstream of the proposed <br />NPDES 016 pond. It Is a developed spring that flora into a metal stock tank. It was <br />first sampled in August 1997. It is not part of the requrred monitoring program. Ho data <br />was collected this year, but will be next year. <br />The hydrology monitoring program at the Seneca II-W Mine requires a spoil aprinq survey <br />every year after the aprinq snowpack runoff. Spoil Spring 1 (WSSPGI, not to be confused <br />wi to WSPG1), was discovered in 1998 above the NPDES 005 pontl. It exists approximately 800 <br />feet sou theist of Well GW-52W-1CW. This yeaz, low Elor was observed in June and no flow <br />in September. <br />Spoil Spring 2 (WSSPG2) was discovered this June <br />channel adj scent to Spring S-5. <br />Spoil Spring 3 (WSSPG3) was discovered this September <br />east of Pond 006. <br />It is located in the main stream <br />It ie located immediately to the <br />Comparison of Surface Water quality to Water Uae Standards. SCC has compiled a list of <br />surface water standards For agricultural uses (Table 91. This list is composed mostly of <br />CDOH surface water agricultural use standards as of March 1999 (see footnotes B, C, and F <br />on that table), although other agency standards have been used if the CDOH hie no surface <br />water agricultural standard for a particular parameter (all other footno tea). <br />Table 30 provides a eompaziaon of surface water quality to agricultural atandazda.
