quality static tats for springs downs traam of mcrncrnq (when avacrlable), a IAWESS plot of
Field conductivities (corrected to 25° C, since 10/1/89), and a historic listing of •
percent malliequivalente of major ions and TOS. In Appendix E, all native springs have a
WS PG prefix (e.q., Spring 5-45 = WSPG45) while all spoil springs have a WSSPG prefix.
Sprang S-1 is located crn an ephemeral stream cha+u~el that is the northern tributary to
Sage Creek. EUrther downstream crn Chia drainage is the 009 Pond that was constructed in
October 1991. The EC plot indicates an Sncreaecrng trend.
Sprang 5-23 cra located at the headwaters of the 006 Gulch, in an ephemeral stream channel.
This sprang is upstream of proposed mining and should not be affected by mining. The EC
plot indicated an increasing trend.
Spring 5-41 crs located downs tream of Spring 5-23 in the 006 Gulch stream channel. It is
scr tua red just downstream of the silted-in Temple Pond Y2. This spring was buried in
spoals in 1998.
Sprcrng 5-5, located dowmstream of Spring 5-41 crn a side draw to the 006 Gulch, is in an
ephemeral stream channel. Flows have been vweseuzed only three tiros at this Bite; June •
1903, May 1997, and June 1998.
Spring 5-45 (a.k.a., the O19on Spring) is not a flowing spring, but a thzee-foot diameter
well placed in the alluvium of Dry Czeek. Since a well was drilled on the Olson ranch in
September 1980, thin "spring" hss not been put to use, although rt is water-zighted for
stock use. The electrical conductivity (EC) plot indicates a decreasing trend.
Sprang 5-46 is a developed spring Pirat mnitorinq during the 1979 spring survey. This
sprcrnq is not part of the required mnitoring program, however, due to its strategic
locatcron (ivm~ediately below the 005 Pond), mnitozinq at this spring has bean voluntazily
reestablished in 1992. The EC plot indicates a zecently increasing trend.
Spring 5-47 was first discovazed by SCC personal in 1989 and was mnitozed first in June
1990. It is a developed spring excreting alongside the mcrne entrance haul road just to the
west of the Seneca II-w Meteorological Station. It is not zequired by the hydrological
mni Goring program, mni toring is voluntary. Its EC plot indicates a decreasing trend.
•
)6
