• REVEGETATION <br />• <br />• Seeding and Shrub Planting <br />There was no shrub planting conducted at Seneca R in 2005. A small reseeding project was <br />conducted in the azea around Channel PM-1 and 15.3 acres were seeded along the narrowed <br />permanent roads. <br />• Weed Conttol <br />Survey for noxious weeds was carried out on the Seneca II Mine permit area in 2005. Canada <br />thistle was the primary tazget species, with lesser activity directed towards azeas of hounds tongue <br />and whitetop. The weed control areas will continue to be monitored in 2006 for effectiveness <br />and necessary retreatment. <br />See the attached weed control daily log spreadsheet for more detailed description of the 2005 <br />herbidde application (actual log is on file at the mine site) and the 2005 Weed Control Areas map <br />forlocadons of spraying areas. <br />• Revegetadon Monitoring <br />Revegetation monitoring of permanently revegetated azeas was conducted during the summer of <br />2005 by ESCO Associates, Inc. The 2005 Annual Revegetation Monitoring report is submitted as <br />a separate document. <br />• Grazing <br />Cattle (400 long yeazlings) were moved on to the Grassy Creek Pasture and the Powderhouse <br />Pasture on July 30~ 2005. On August 15~ 2005, another 100 head were moved onto the Cow <br />Camp Pasture. All cattle were moved off the Seneca II Mine area on September 12~ 2005. See <br />attached 2005 Grazing Plan Map for pasture locations. <br />This grazing scheme resulted in a total of 580 AUM's for 2005. <br />Grassy Creek Pasture <br />44 days (x) 200 head = 8,800 animal days (/) 30 days = 293 animal months (x) 0.8 <br />AUM/animal = 234 AUM's <br />Powderhouse Pasture <br />44 daps (x) 200 head = 8,800 animal days (/) 30 days = 293 animal months (x) 0.8 <br />AUM/animal = 234 AUM's <br />Cow Camp Pasture <br />28 days (x) 150 head = 4,200 animal days (/) 30 days = 140 animal months (x) 0.8 <br />AUM/animal = 112 AIJM's <br />Total = 580 AUM's <br />I~ <br />3 <br />
