Exchangable Sodium Percentage Boron <br />Selenium Sulfate Sulfur <br />Pyritic Sulfur Total Sulfur <br />Acid/base Potential <br />o A "reference plot" with existing vegetation in the vicinity will be~ <br />fenced Por Future reference. The reference area will be <br />approximately 0.5 acre in size. <br />o Success criteria will be defined on the basis oP cover, woody plant <br />density (number oP woody plants in unit area), specie composition, <br />and production (gm/m') as Lhey relate to the vegetation in the <br />reference plot. The success criteria will be established consistent <br />with CMLRD's Regulation, Section 4.15.8. <br />o Vegetation cover will be one of the parameters evaluated in <br />determinations of revegetation success, along with herbaceous <br />production and woody plant density. <br />This phase will help WFU determine the mix of topsoil/subsoil cover to be placed <br />on the refuse pile and will set a procedure for conducting statistical evaluation <br />oP the revegetation success. <br />Teat Plot Reclamation Plan <br />The test plot reclamation plan will consist oP the following tasks. <br />_`_ <br />-1- <br />N~ <br />~.~ ~~~_~ <br />3u~~~~~ <br />/ ~~J~~ <br />'~ "I, <br />o Eight test plots, each 100' x 100' in size, will be delineated and <br />fenced in RP-1. Four of these plots will have northern exposure. <br />The other four plots will have southern exposure. An attached map <br />shows the location of these plots. The refuse area RP-1 will be <br />fenced. The teat plots will be labelled as to their thickness. <br />o Each set of the four test plots will be covered with varying <br />thicknesses of topsoil/subsoil: 12-inch, 24-inch, 36-inch and 48- <br />inch.
