<br />Panel 2 Right: <br />Mined Length: Approximately 2,750 feet of panel development. Only a small <br />portion of the inby panel was developed. Due to a large bump <br />that occurred in May of this year, the approved pillaring plan for <br />the Bowie No. 1 Mine was rescinded. Bottom coal was mined <br />in room development only for the remaining portion of the panel. <br />Overburden Thickness: Varying from 1,200 feet to approximately 1,620 feet. <br />Mining Height: 9 to 11 feet on advance. 15 to l6 feet on retreat. <br />Panel 2 '/: Right: <br />Mined Length: Approximately 2,460 feet of panel advance development. Only <br />a small portion of the panel was actually pillared and the rest, a <br />small portion as well, was limited to only mining bottom coal. <br />• Overburden Thickness: Varying from 1,200 ft. to approximately 1,620 ft.. <br />Mining Height: 9 to 11 feet on advance. 15 to 16 feet on retreat. <br />Panel `I': <br />Mined length: Approximately 2,650 feet of panel advancement. <br />Overburden Thickness: Varying from approximately 620 ft. to 1,200 ft.. <br />Mining Height: 9 to 11 feet on advance. <br />Subsidence impacts 1996 <br />Subsidence survey monitoring of selected wide-spaced monuments in the vicinity of <br />active mine workings was conducted during June 1996. Surveying of these selected <br />stations was conducted in accordance with the projected monitoring addressed in <br />the 1995 Annual Subsidence Report. Selected subsidence monitoring stations <br />established over the Pitkin Mesa pipeline were monitored in May and June 1996. <br />Page -3- <br />
