Producfion of Class A compost and Class B biosolids at the biosolids facility on the <br />Robinson Tailings Impoundment continued in 2006 as in the past. Applications were <br />done by dozer push and by aerial spreading (using a truck mounted blower). The annuai <br />biosolids permit report is included as Attachment III. <br />2.2 Dust Coutrol <br />Annual dust control activities continue as in past years. A '/, mile long experimental <br />wind snow fence was installed along the east end of 3-Dam in 2005. Initial evaluations <br />as to the effectiveness of this fence have not been concluded. <br />2.3 2006 DMG Inspection <br />Allen Sorenson inspected Climax in November 2006. Areas of inspection included <br />Demolition, the Sludge Densification Plant and overall reclamation on Robinson Tailing <br />Pond. <br />2.4 Topsoil <br />As part of the McNulty Waste Dump Partial Re-grading project discussed in Section 1.3, <br />approximately 11,160 cubic yazds of topsoil material was located and salvaged from the <br />toe of the dump. In addition, ail known topsoil stockpiles on the Climax site were <br />located, inspected visually, and signed appropriately. Many of these stockpiles are in <br />excess of 25 years old. All were well vegetated and stable. <br />2.5 Weed Control <br />Climax's program of weed control continued in 2006. A copy of the final report on 2006 <br />weed control activities by Habitat Management, Inc. is attached. <br />3.0 2007 Activities <br />Scheduled reclamation and construction activities at Climax during 2007 will be as <br />extensive as 2006. The following reclamation-related projects are being planned: <br />• Continued construction of the Sludge Densification Plant. <br />• Continued reclamation on Robinson Tailings Impoundment. <br />• Restoration of the East Fork Arkansas River channel through the <br />Storke Yazd (planned as a 2+ year restoration project). <br />• Remediation and reclamation of historical mine waste from Searle <br />Gulch. (Approximately 170,000 cubic yards of waste rock from Seazle <br />Gulch were removed in 2006). <br />• McNulty Waste Rock Dump grading work. <br />• Continued visual enhancement reclamation projects. <br />• Assessment of Lake Irwin for wetlands development. <br />• Sitewide materials and growth media survey. <br />• Continued weed control. <br />
