October 2000 -64- 003-2191 <br />• If methane concentrations in excess of 25 percent of the LEL at the property boundary <br />aze consistently not detected, a request may be made to the CDPHE to perform <br />monitoring on a reduced basis for the duration of the post-closure period. [f methane <br />concentrations in excess of 100 percent of the LEL aze detected during monitoring, the <br />Owner will notify the CDPHE. The results of all monitoring will be reported and <br />placed into the operating record, as discussed in Section 4.5. <br />3.6.5 Reporting <br />Semi-annual monitoring will begin after landfill closure is completed and will be <br />performed throughout the post-closure period. The duration of the post-closure period <br />is presently 30 yeazs; however, this may be reduced with approval from the CDPHE. <br />Inspection documentation to be placed into the Operating Record during the post- <br />closure will include the following: <br />• <br />1. Waste settlement, surface cracking, erosion, slope failure, drainage <br />concerns and condition of vegetation <br />2. Remedial actions and/or general maintenance required and completed <br />3. Maintenance of all groundwater quality wells <br />4. Leachate collection system operation and maintenance; leachate <br />pumping and disposal records <br />5. Groundwater monitoring results <br />6. Methane gas monitoring results <br />In accordance with CDPHE regulations, the Operator will notify the Department when <br />documents required by the regulations have been placed or added to the operating <br />record.
