The products to be accepted at the site will be <br />primarily inert trash, demolition materials,nnn-municipal waste, and construction debris. <br />The products accepted at the Sedalia Facility will include normal non-toxic yard materials, <br />wood, concrete, construction products, yard materials, glass, sheetrock, and other materials <br />normally associated with construction materials, soils, foundations, or road base materials. <br />The site will not accept any municipal, urban waste, domestic solid waste, or residential <br />waste, all ojwhich are generally defined as municipal solid waste. <br />Let's Recycle!! <br />The recycling center is planned to accept segregated recyclable products from the general <br />public such as paper, aluminum, metals, plastics, concrete, aggregates, road base, and mulching <br />materials. The company expects to install and operate wood recycling and chipping operations <br />as an ultimate part of the planned recycling center. The availability of wood products from the <br />waste stream will determine the appropriate time to construct wood chipping and recycling <br />machines. The recycling center will be operated as a part of the general activity for the <br />depository activity and will be coordinated with community efforts to encourage clean-up of <br />residential debris, and the segregation of any and all products, which can be economically <br />recycled. The company does not anticipate that it will pay the public for recyclable materials, <br />but will operate the recycling facility as a public service to the community. <br />The format of this application has been developed to be responsive to the format of the <br />Colorado regulations pertaining to SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL SITES AND FACILITIES, <br />6 CCR 1007-2. This permit application will be simultaneously submitted to Douglas <br />County, Colorado and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment <br />(CDPHE) for initial review and recommended approval by CDPHE. Additionally upon <br />obtaining a proposed approval from CDPHE, the applicant will file a request for a <br />. Certificate of Designation with Douglas County.
