These
maps are marked to show operational areas in accordance
with Rule 2.41 of the Rules and Regulations of the Colo-
rado MLRB.
Because of the slow movement in our quarry operations
and the mining of additional bands as they become economical,
the entire quarry remains active, and will remain so for
several years into the future. Reclamation is thus precluded
until the quarrying is completed in some areas.
(1) Location and number of acres affected during the year.
In the 1979 Annual Report, it was recommended that
an additional 121 acres be bonded. No response
was received by Ideal from the Board, consequently
some of the operations of the 1979-80 year were
outside of the area originally bonded. These
areas are shown as the haul road under construc-
tion on Sheets 2 and 3, and the area stripped
preparatory to mining shown on Sheet 5. In or-
der to bring bonding up to date, and to provide
adequate bonded area for 1980-81 operations, we
hereby request that bond be set for the above
areas, as well as the area of proposed mining
shown on Sheets 2 and 3.
The total area of new bonding is 171 acres,
broken down as follows:
New road - moderate disturbance 21 acres
Stripping & mining - l~J~
,~~„/
major disturbance 150 acres
(2) Locations and number of acres reclaimed for year
Not applicable at this time.
(3) Locations and number of acres in the various sta
o reclamation ac i e gra a topsoi re-
Not applicable at this time.
