phosphorous, azsenic, cadmium, lead, iron (dissolved), manganese and zinc. Please
explain.
6. It is stated on monitoring point table 91 for drill hole DH-38 that the bailer became
• lodged in the hole. Is this hole recoverable so full suite analyses can be run?
7. On monitoring point table 94, it is stated that a foreign object in the hole prevented
sampling of monitoring drill hole DH-58. Is DH-58 still a viable sampling point?
8. The list of drill hole water monitoring locations in Table 1 of the 2002 AHR does not
contain all of the monitoring sites listed on page 2.05-76 of the permit application. The
missing sites include DH-16, DH-34C, DH-57, DH-57a and DH-67D. According to the
text on page 5 of the 2002 AHR, DH-57 and DH-57a were mined through in 2001. Are
there substitutes for these two wells? These two sites should be taken off of the
monitoring site list on permit application page 2.05-76 through a minor revision
submittal. Also through a minor revision, Map 9 should be revised to show that DH-57 is
no longer active. Finally, please explain why the other sites, DH-16, DH-34C and DH-
67D, were not sampled in 2002.
9. It appeazs that spring monitoring points S2-9 and 52-10 need to be added to Table 1 of
the 2002 AHR. These two sites were visited in 2002. Please revise Table 1 accordingly.
10. Through the minor revision process, please add ponds P33-10 and P33-11 to the list of
monitored sites on permit application page 2.05-81.
11. Permit application page 2.05-85 shows two chemical parameter lists for surface water
monitoring. However, Table 2 on page 11 of the 2002 AHR shows only list 1. Please add
list 2 to Table 2 of the 2002 AHR.
12. On monitoring point table 77 for the Fire Mountain Canal-low, please revise the data
entry error for the operational temperature.
2002 Bi-Annual Subsidence Report
13. Please add a discussion to the upcoming 2003 Annual Report concerning whether or not
the subsidence data collected so far support the subsidence predictions made in Exhibit
15 of Volume 3 and Map 27, "Subsidence", both in the pemut application. The
discussion should include the subsidence magnitude, the angle of draw, the aerial extent
of subsidence based on the mine plan (shown on Map 27) and the stability of the outcrop
barrier pillazs and partial extraction zones.
14. In future subsidence report submittals, please enlarge the Subsidence Map, Map 27,
attached to the report. At the present scale, details aze very hazd to see.
2
