Ten multiple hit transects <br />were laid out in each area. <br /> <br />' Species Identification: <br />Voucher specimens were collected. These specimens were <br />confirmed or identified by William Weber, retired Curator of <br />the University of Colorado herbarium. <br />1 <br />Community Descriptions <br />Reclaimed areas fall within two community designations. <br />While these communities are considered complete units for the <br />' purpose of determinating reclamation success, they may be <br />subdivided into smaller portions to determine if reclamation <br />has had uniformly successful results. <br />' 1. Grassland Community <br />' Although the grassland community was fairly consistent in <br />the parameters sampled, it may be divided into three smaller <br />parts. The major acreage is contributed by the slope below <br />' the portals (northeast portion of the permit area).
