Munger Canyon Mine AHR Information <br />4/30/97 Update <br />Permit # C-81-020 <br />1. AHR Due Date: A due date is not specified in either the <br />findings document or the PAP, however the report has typically been <br />submitted in January, and covers the preceding water year (Oct. 1 - <br />September 30). <br />2. Specific Reporting Requirements: The findings document <br />contains the following Stipulation No. 3. <br />THE APPLICANT MUST SUBMIT TO THE REGULATORY AUTHORITY AN ANNUAL <br />REPORT CHARACTERIZINGT THE INFLOWS, DISCHARGES AND THE CONSUMPTION <br />OF WATER WITHIN THE MINE. THIS REPORT IS TO INCLUDE A CURRENT MINE <br />WORKINGS MAP SHOWING THE LOCATION AND QUANTITY OF INFLOWS; A TABLE <br />KEYED TO THE MINE MAP WHICH SHALL CONTAIN THE SOURCE (i.e., FAULTS, <br />FRACTURES, etc.), QUANTITY, DURATION, AND QUALITY (i.e., pH, <br />ELECTRO-CONDUCTIVITY AND TEMPERATURE) OF ALL NON-SEEP INFLOWS; A <br />TABLE CONTAINING RECORDS OF WATER DISCHARGED FROM THE MINE, <br />CONSUMED IN THE MINE AND IMPORTED FOR USE WITHIN THE MINE; A <br />DISCUSSION OF THE WATER BALANCE WITHIN THE MINE; AND, A PROJECTION <br />OF HYDROLOGIC IMPACTS OF MINING IN THE UPCOMING YEAR. <br />In practice, the reports submitted include all surface and ground <br />water collected during the year as well as an evaluation of the <br />monitoring results with respect to the PHC projections. The <br />reports submitted are more comprehensive than specified in the <br />stipulation. <br />Enclosure A is the approved monitoring plan. <br />3. CPDES Outfalls and Effluent Limits: <br />Permit # 000040827 <br />001-A (Sedimettt Pond Outfall)??? <br />Standard List (See McClane AHR Sheet for Pond Discharge) <br />002-A (Mine water discharge) Same as above, but delete Settleable <br />solids, and add Acute WET testing. <br />4. 1995 AHR review letter and List of Unresolved Issues: <br />There are no unresolved issues from last year. <br />5. Probable Hydrologic Consequences <br />The anticipated impacts on quality and quantity of ground water and <br />surface water are minimal, due mainly to the small area of surface <br />disturbance as well as characteristics of the ground water <br />environment. <br />
