However, a National Weather Service <br />meteorological station is located in Hayden, Colorado, approximately 1 mile north of the Loadout. <br />The Hayden station (ID: 053867) has a monthly climatic period of record from 1931 through 2002. <br />Precipitation falls throughout the year with the most signi5cant precipitation occurring as rain during <br />the spring and fall months. The annual normal precipitation for Hayden is 16.97 inches. The normal <br />value is based on averages for the period ] 948 - 2001. The annual precipitation recorded during 2002 <br />was 10.65 inches. In general, monthly precipitation was below average, with only March, April, August <br />and October recording near or above average montlily preupitation. <br />The average mean annual temperature at Hayden is 42.7 degrees Fahrenheit (°F).
