Colorado Department of Health (CDOH) surface water standards as of August 1997, although
other agency standazds have been used if the CDOH has no agricultural standard for a
particular parameter. Table 9 has footnotes to indicate the source of each water quality
standard.
Table 30 provides a comparison of surface water quality to agricultural standards. This
Pazadox database generated table does not include the unite of concentration (mg/1 ox
ug/1) for each parameter. The unite used for each parameter aze the same as those listed
on the standards table (Table 9) and are also the same as those used in the water quality
reports. The frequency column on Table 10 indicates the number of exceedences out of the
total number of samples (i.e., 1/2 indicates one exceedence out of two samples). Below is
a summary of standards that were exceeded. Given in parenthesis ie the source and use of
each standard. Although the CDOH does not indicate between livestock and irrigation uses
in their surface water (SW) agxicul rural standards, they have done so in their similar
ground water (GW) agricultural standards (sae Tabla 5I. For the Bake of discussion, SCC
chooses to use those ground water use standazds fox surface water use evaluation.
.
