Samples obtained at these
sites aze analyzed for the surface water parameter list, Table 7, during April, May or
.lone, and September. A summary of eurface water sites is provided in Table 8. The
current surface watez and spring monitoring program is presented in Table 15-9 of the
Yoast Mine PAP.
All surface water data collected during this reporting period aze provided in Appendix D.
Data provided for stream and NPDES Bites aze a flow hydrograph, a water quality report,
and remarks (if present). After the water quality report is a statistics report
representing baseline (i.e., premininq) data fox each site downs txeam of mining (when
available). On this static tics report, "eenaored data" refers to analytical values that
re re below the detection limit, which rare censored from the min/maw/mean calculations.
The time frame for baseline condi tiona ie listed under "conditions specified" at the
bottom of each page. Also included aze TDS plots using the I.OWESS method and
TDS/milliequivalent tables (see preceding Ground Water Quality section). Data for spring
sites (YSPG series) included a rater quality report, a listing of historic floc values,
electrical conductivity (EC) LOWESS plots, and TDS/milliequivalent tables.
Site YSSF3. This site exists on Sage Creek upstream of all potential Yoast Mine
discharges. Its floc hydrograph indicates a higher than normal spring runoff.
Site YSS2. This site exists on Sage Creak below all potential Yoast Mine discharges. No
mine related discharges have occurred yet in this basin. Monitoring at this site was
. resumed this year after the monitoring requirement rae dieeontinued in 1993 (although
field parameters were occasionally collected in 1994 to 1997).
7
