level quarterly and for field parameters and lab samples on asemi-annual basis.
The fourth quarter water level visit was not reported for the luppa well and the
Refuse well. Please ensure that quarterly water level data is collected for these
two wells in 2002.
2. Monitoring frequency, specific to laboratory sampling requirements, was met on
a semi-annual basis for the luppa well and the Refuse well.
Water Quantity and Quality
3. No significant changes attributable to mining have occurred regarding water
levels in the two monitoring wells. Dry conditions continue to prevail in the
region. Water quality shows no degradation affecting any probable use. Field
conductivity (EC) values continue to be substantially less than the TDS values.
Again, calibration of your field equipment is suspect. Please check field
instruments.
Thank you for your efforts to complete hydrologic monitoring in accordance with the
approved plan. If you have any questions, please call me.
Sincerely,
Kent Gorham
Environmental Protection Specialist II
CC: Dan Hernandez
