1 Quarterly Reports. Quarterly Reports include daily
' flow estimates with maximum, minimum and mean flows
reported for each month. Locations of these stations
' are shown on Exhibit I.
' In addition, daily mean flow values for water year 1983
from the USGS station on the North Fork Gunnison River
' near Somerset are provided in Appendix A.
The Horse Creek gage was destroyed by a flash flood in
early June, 1983, ap parently the result of a beaver

pond failure combined with high spring runoff. A new

1 flume was installed on July 11, 1983 about 300 ft.
above the site of the old gaging station.
' Quarterly water quality samples are obtained for Horse
' Creek, South Prong, Lick Creek, Upper Dry Fork, Lower
Dry Fork, Sylvester Gulch, and Minnesota Creek above
Dry Fork at the gaging station locations. Water
quality samples were also obtained quarterly at three
additional locations: the North Fork above Sylvester
Gulch, the North Fork below the Mine and the East Fork
above South Prong. Sampling locations are shown on
' Exhibit I.
' Water quality data previously collected by the USGS at
' their North Fork gaging station near Somerset was dis-
continued in September, 1982.

-~-
