A minor
amount of grading was done in 1987 on the portal bench to improve
drainage. A superficial slump on the face of the bench was
repaired and seeded in 1988.
Blue Ribbon's hydrologic monitoring plan is contained in the per-
mit document, pages 124 and 124a both of which were revised May
19, 1987 and Exhibit Z which shows the monitoring locations.
SURFACH WATBR
The following table shows the flow, pH and conductivity for
upstream and downstream Hubbard Creek by quarter Por 1988 com-
pared to the same months' averages from 1982 through 1987.
Unver Hubbard Creek Lower Hubbard Creek
Quarter Parameter Ave 1988 Ave 1988
1st Flow 33.0 7.0 - -
pH 8.1 8.3 7.8 8.2
Cond 159 213 202 228
2nd Flow 49.7 8.0 - -
pH 8.2 8.7 8.3 8.6
Cond 172 143 185 330
3rd Flow 9.0 10.0 - -
pH 8.1 8.2 8.2 8.3
Cond 235 230 261 220
4th Flow 12.2 5.0 - -
pH 8.2 8.3 8.3 8.3
Cond 172 210 204 200
According to the local irrigation office, 1988 was a below
average year for run-off. The table shows the lower than average
flow.
Pond No. 5, discharge point 001, was the only pond that dis-
charged during the year and it only discharged during February
and March. The total discharge was 0.23 acre-feet of water. The
average pH was 8.5 and the mass average conductivity was 1468.
The relatively low conductivity indicates that the discharge was
a mix of surface run-off and discharge from the south underdrain.
-1-
