COLORADO 81302 <br />July 5, 1988 <br />TO: National King Coal <br />OFIICE !O! 36~~0118 <br />RE6IO ENCE 3~~-l7l0 <br />SUBJECT: Quarterly Sut'sider.ce Monitoring, Second Quarter 1988 <br />1) The second quarterly visual inspection for subsidence, King <br />Coal Mine, La Plata County, Colorado was made on June 30, 1988. <br />2) No inspection was possible during the first quarter because <br />of snow cover. <br />3) Survey statior;s were monitored by Clifford Sch.~nid, L.S. <br />during this quarter. <br />4) No new e~~idence of subs~der,ce is apparent. <br />Tne surface area above both old and current workings was <br />inspected. Particular a`te.ntion was given co the most recent <br />areas of retreat. Tha surface wes inspected for evidence of <br />slur*,?, subsidence, shearing, cracks in bedrock, vegetation <br />damaoe and water infiltration. too evidence of rlew subsidence <br />is apparent. <br />The purpose of this inspection was to meet requirements <br />es:abiished by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division <br />for quarterly monitcring_of the surface for subsidence. <br />~ F- 3 r?.
