' } RULE 2.41(4): T • SPECIES OF VEGETATION PLA•ED, THE
LOCATIONS AND APPROXIMATE DATES OF PLANTING.
The species of vegetation planted in the last year (in
Phase I) was in accordance with the mixture listed in the
1984 amendment and is identical to the mixture planted on
the Phase I area in 1988.
RULE 2.41(5): THE TYPE AND APPROXIMATE QUANTITY OF
FERTILIZERS, ORGANIC MATERIAL, DR SOIL CONDITIONERS USED AND
LOCATION OF USE.
No soil amendments were used in the planting as topsoil
was utilized as the growth medium.
RULE 2.41(6): AN APPRAISAL OF THE SUCCESS OF RECLAMATION
EFFORTS, AND IN THE EVENT OF FAILURE OF ANY EFFORTS, A SHORT
NARRATIVE ON THE SUSPECTED OR DETERMINED CAUSE OF SUCH
FAILURE.
Previous annual reports have detailed the successes and
failures of revegetation at this operation. The
revegetation work accomplished in the past continues to show
a steady rate of development with the additional benefit of
considerable invasion of the areas by native forks and
shrubs, particularly Mountain Mahogany. The excellent
revegetation conditions at this site continue to provide the
reclamation efforts with good success rates.
RULE 2.41(7); ESTIMATES OF THE LOCATION AND'NUMBER OF ACRES
TO BE AFFECTED IN THE COMING YEAR.
It is not expected the areas of affected land will
change significantly in the next year. However, final plans
are being examined for moving into Phase II in the next
couple of years as Phase I approaches completion. It is
possible in the next year the bottom of the existing pit to
the east of Phase I will be extended to maximum depth. If
that occurs there will be a probable delay in the initiation
of mining in Phase II.
MAP; Enclosed is the annual report map. Comparison to
last year's map shows how little the operation has changed,
with the exception of the phase sequence changes and the
addition of the northwest corner.
Page 2 of 2 SNYDER QI.Y-1RF2Y 1989-1990 ANNUAL REPORT
